Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about hiring creators — and working as one — on DroneHire.

What is DroneHire?

DroneHire is a free Swedish marketplace where you can find and hire local drone pilots, video editors and content creators. You browse portfolios, post a project, compare proposals and agree directly with the creator — DroneHire is the connection platform, not a party to the agreement.

How much does DroneHire cost?

Nothing. DroneHire is completely free for both clients and creators. There is no commission, no platform fee and no subscription — the price you agree with a creator is exactly what you pay them.

How do payments work?

You agree on the price, method and terms directly with your creator and pay them directly — for example by Swish, bank transfer, invoice or cash. DroneHire never processes, holds or transfers any money.

How do I hire a creator?

Create a free account, then either browse creators and contact one whose portfolio you like, or post a project describing what you need. Interested creators send proposals with a quoted price; you accept the one that fits, and the details are confirmed as a booking.

What does the Verified badge mean?

A Verified badge means the creator has uploaded a drone licence document and our team has reviewed it. It is a good trust signal, but you should still check credentials, insurance and previous work yourself before hiring — hiring decisions are always made directly between you and the creator.

Do drone pilots need a license in Sweden?

In most cases, yes. Sweden follows the EU drone rules: pilots flying drones of 250 g or more (or any drone with a camera, with limited exceptions) must register with Transportstyrelsen and hold at least an A1/A3 open-category certificate. Heavier drones and flights close to people require A2 or specific-category authorisations. Always check the current rules at transportstyrelsen.se before flying.

How do I become a creator on DroneHire?

Sign up for free as a creator, tell us how you work — drone pilot, content creator, or both — pick your services and content types, add your rates and upload portfolio samples. Your profile then appears in the creator listing and you can send proposals to open projects. No drone is required: editors and photographers are just as welcome.

Which cities does DroneHire cover?

DroneHire covers all of Sweden, with creators in cities like Stockholm, Göteborg, Malmö, Uppsala and many more. Creator profiles show their home city, and many travel for the right project. More countries are planned.

Can one creator both film and edit?

Yes. Many creators on DroneHire offer complete packages — they film with a drone or camera and deliver a fully edited result. Look for profiles offering the Drone + Editing service, or filter by the service you need.

How do reviews work?

Reviews are job-verified: only a client and creator who actually completed a project together on DroneHire can review each other. That keeps ratings honest — no anonymous or purchased reviews.
